Methodology
Europe's Energy Portal receives its data from registered respondents, official government bodies and energy regulators. This vast pool of data is analysed and weighted into 3-decimal accurate figures. To build a realistic average price per month, we assign price data from filling stations along motorways a weighing factor of 75%.
What will I get?
Average monthly retail prices are per one liter of Unleaded and Diesel fuel. Starting January 2000 until, and including, April 2013.
The data is captured in standard Microsoft Excel format and can easily be used to produce reports and graphics. All price data is in Euro, this makes it easy to compare between countries. For non-Eurozone members (United Kingdom, Bulgaria etc.), the prices are in Euro and in local currency.
