useful energy balance
a balance in which are entered the various energy flows according to their actual calorific value, from primary supply through to the useful energy recovered by the end user at the output from his appliances, thus showing the identifiable losses at the various stages of transformation and final consumption
GRM: n.
Note: because there is no precise measure of useful energy, this balance is in practice derived by applying to the energy supplied balance additional factors for average or estimated efficiency values in conversion by the final appliance
