As we live we use energy. Most of our energy is derived from burning fossil fuels.
Unfortunately this process releases harmful Carbon Dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere and causes our earth to warm up.
Green EU Initiative
Europe's Energy Portal launched the Green EU Initiative.
This initiative is set up to support reforestation projects worldwide.
These reforestation projects focus on planting indigenous trees that grow in harmony with existing vegetation. Planting trees is a key element in the battle against climate change; trees exchange harmful CO2 with oxygen.
Reducing our energy consumption and the use of renewable energy is vital.
